0 - General plan

Sitting in front of the fire place in MonoCity, with a view over Mono Lake and snow covered mountains in the backdrop, planning is an easy thing to do. Be in the north when its summer, be in the south when its winter. The practice might be totally different though. Knowing myself for being flexible and non committing, my plan can change within the blink of an eye and this travel plan can become a piece of modern art on the wall.

As not to be to early in Alaska, I will start going south. First JTree and then I will work my way up slowly on the east side of the Sierra Nevada. Red Rocks, Bishop, Mammoth, Mono City, Bridgeport, Tahoe, mt Shasta, Lassen NP, Crater Lake.

And then in the middle of April with the first signs of spring in the air, I will make the big leap to Alaska by boat.

With or without a good plan, it will be an interesting journey anyway.
